Extreme Weather Pillar
Alaska Winter Prep:
Sub-Zero Engineering
When temperatures drop to -40°F in Anchorage and the Mat-Su, standard automotive systems fail. We install heavy-duty starting, heating, and power electronics engineered specifically to survive Alaskas winter freeze.
Winter Specialties
Engineered for
Sub-Zero Reliability
Glow-Plug Delay Remote Starts
Standard remote starters crank the engine immediately, which destroys cold diesel engines and drains frozen batteries. Our Compustar systems are programmed with custom glow-plug delay cycles, waiting for the cylinders to heat properly before turning over.
- LTE cell range starting via DroneMobile
- Real-time cabin temperature reports on your phone
- Programmable automatic run-time loops (up to 45 mins)
Carbon Fiber Heated Seats
Didnt get heated seats from the factory? We install carbon fiber heating pads directly underneath your vehicles existing fabric or leather upholstery. Features high/low/off console switches, dual-zone warming (back and bottom), and OEM integration.
- Dual-zone seat & back warmth integration
- Premium carbon fiber heating elements (wont break under pressure)
- Discrete, factory-look control switches
Dual-Battery Isolator Systems
Running auxiliary heaters, commercial snow plows, or light bars draws massive amperage. We install secondary battery trays using solid-state isolator relays that automatically merge batteries during charging but keep them isolated when parked.
- Prevents primary starting battery drain
- Heavy-duty copper lugs and heat-shrink insulation
- Emergency jump-start merge override buttons
High-Output Alternators
At idle, factory alternators cannot keep up with defrosters, seat heaters, headlights, and plows running simultaneously, leading to dead batteries mid-commute. We swap stock alternators for high-output models (250A to 370A) built to keep systems charged.
- Ensures full charging voltage at idle
- Supports severe commercial plow draw patterns
- OEM direct-fit replacements

The Alaska Driver
Winter Checklist
Keep your rig operational through the darkest months. Review these essential checkmarks before the first snowfall hits Anchorage.
Cold-Crank Battery Load Test
A battery that functions perfectly at 50°F can lose up to 50% of its capacity at 0°F. Stop by our shop for a professional load test before the first deep freeze.
Glow-Plug Remote Test
Ensure your diesel truck has an active bypass delay module installed. Attempting to start a cold diesel engine without glow-plug preheating will crack engine blocks over time.
LED Headlight & Bar Check
With only 5 hours of daylight in December, verify that your headlights are aligned and aux light bars are wired with weatherproof, salt-resistant relay connectors.
